KP Lee is a Chinese-Filipino-American composer and sound designer, with a focus in music for video games. Her diverse musical background has influenced her to write in a variety of different styles. As a kid, they became inspired by a classmate to learn the violin, and took lessons from several teachers in both classical style via the Suzuki method, and in fiddle style. They also were a part of San Jose Taiko's Junior Taiko program, learning to play the Japanese taiko drum in an ensemble and performing live with adult cast members. In high school, she participated in both the orchestra and choir.In middle school, KP became interested in video game music through soundtracks like Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver and Celeste, and started getting involved with online communities interested in game music upon entering high school. They created playlists and guessing games of video game music, briefly hosted a show on an online radio station, and started creating music of their own. Through these communities, she learned about Berklee College of Music, and applied and was accepted in 2021.At Berklee, KP has had the opportunity to learn from countless professors and instructors, as well as from various peers and tutors. She is a member of the Crepusculum Choir, a choir that specializes in contemporary music, and is the Vice President of the Berklee Video Game Music Club, which meets to discuss and create game music. They will be graduating from Berklee in Spring 2026, majoring in Game and Interactive Media Scoring. As she moves into the working world, she hopes to continue being involved in the game audio space, and is currently working on multiple game projects with peers alongside her coursework. Her current aspiration is to be featured in a rhythm game, such as DanceDanceRevolution or CHUNITHM.
